Fall is the most perfect time to crawl under the covers with a cozy read next to a fire. Here are my recommendations that will make you feel like you are in a cozy place- and some that won't.

From murder mysteries to romances that will make you giggle and kick your feet, the best reads of the fall are here.
The Guest List
Lucy Foley
This was the first book that got me into murder mystery books. Lucy Foley is a CLASSIC if you are wanting to start in the genre. She has such a unique style of writing and a voice that keeps you captured till the very end. This book is set on an island in Scotland and follows a wedding. You are introduced to about six main characters, and each chapter changes the point of view to a different character. As you start to learn about their lives and piece together plot twists and connections, you start to build up to the murder. The book starts with the murder and goes back and forth between "real-time" and before the wedding until the past meets up with the murder. It keeps you going till the very end and the plot twist ending is not one I would have ever expected. This is a book I continually go back for and is perfect as the days start to get cold.

Dash and Lily's Book of Dares
David Levithan and Rachel Cohn
I first read this book in the 7th grade when it was a stand-alone. It was a random book in my sister's closet, and the cover looked cool, so I borrowed it. I immediately fell in love with this story. It was the first romance I had ever read and it was just perfect in every way. After I read it I immediately ran to the store and bought a cookie press to make the cookies Lily makes for Dash. This is just a heartwarming, giggling, and kicking-your-feet kind of novel. Without fail, I reread this book every Christmas as well and now watch the one-season Netflix show (that is nothing like the books but is still a great watch). It is also set in New York...what could be better!

Love and Other Words
Christina Lauren
“ Favorite word?” he whispers.
I don’t even hesitate: “You.”
If you couldn't tell by the cover, this book is like drinking a warm cup of hot chocolate on a cold day. It's like sitting in the sun on a cool fall day and reading your favorite book. This story just makes you feel cozy and warm. Love and Other Words makes you feel like love is all around. This is a second-chance romance that follows two childhood sweethearts who reconnect by chance.

Wuthering Heights
Emily Brontë
I had to end this list with a classic. The gloomy and dark environment of this timeless romance is the perfect thing to make you want to cozy up by the fire. This novel was first introduced to me by my grandmother who always would talk about how this was her favorite book of all time. Since then anytime I see a copy of Wuthering Heights, I buy it. It is so special to me, and has now become my favorite classic as well. Cozying up while reading about Catherine and Heathcliff is the only way I want to spend my lazy fall Saturdays.
